Your pumpkin latte just got a functional upgrade.
There’s something about that first warm pumpkin spice drink that officially makes it feel like fall.
But if you’re already feeling wired but tired, overstimulated, anxious, or struggling to wind down at night, another hit of caffeine may not always be what your body is asking for.
That’s one reason we love having caffeine-free options available.
This Dandy Blend Pumpkin Spice Latte gives you the warm, creamy, cozy fall experience—with real pumpkin, pumpkin spice and a caffeine-free coffee alternative.
And it takes just a few minutes to make.
This latte is:
And because Dandy Blend is instant, there’s no coffee maker or brewing required.
Let’s be clear: coffee isn’t bad.
For many people, a moderate amount of caffeine fits perfectly well into a healthy lifestyle.
But nutrition isn’t one-size-fits-all.
One of the things we look at with our patients is the whole picture.
Are you sleeping well? Are you feeling anxious or jittery? Are you relying on caffeine just to push through exhaustion? Are you having multiple cups throughout the day? Do you feel like you’re constantly in “go mode”?
Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system and promotes alertness in part by blocking adenosine receptors—the signaling system involved in building our drive for sleep. (PubMed Central (PMC))
That doesn’t mean everyone needs to stop drinking coffee.
It means that sometimes supporting your body involves looking at how much stimulation you’re asking it to handle.
A caffeine-free morning or afternoon drink can be one very simple place to experiment.
Dandy Blend is an instant caffeine-free herbal coffee alternative.
The original blend contains extracts of roasted:
It dissolves directly into hot or cold liquid, so there’s no brewing or steeping required. (Dandy Blend)
That makes it an incredibly easy swap when you want the ritual and roasted flavor of a coffee-style drink without adding more caffeine.
Our patients often ask if products like Dandy Blend are detox drinks.
While your liver, kidneys and digestive system naturally work to process and eliminate waste, that doesn’t mean we can’t support these important functions through nutrition.
Dandelion root has a long standing history of traditional use for liver and digestive support. It contains plant compounds, including polyphenols, that have antioxidant properties and may help normal liver function.
The takeaway? Dandy Blend isn’t a detox or cleanse, but its plant-based ingredients offer potential benefits that go beyond simply replacing your morning coffee.
It’s one more way to incorporate ingredients that your support your body’s natural elimination processes into your daily routine.
In other words, we can appreciate the ingredients in these type of products without turning one cup into a miracle drink.

Yield: 1 serving
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: Approximately 5 minutes
Add the Dandy Blend to ½ cup hot water and whisk until dissolved.
In a small saucepan, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla, maple syrup and a tiny pinch of sea salt.
Warm over medium-low heat, whisking frequently, until hot and slightly frothy. Do not boil.
Pour in the prepared Dandy Blend and whisk until combined.
Transfer to your favorite mug and finish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice. You may choose to strain the drink with a small colander, although you likely won’t need it.
Serve warm and enjoy.
Approximate nutrition per serving when prepared with unsweetened almond milk and 1 teaspoon pure maple syrup:
Calories: ~70
Carbohydrates: ~11 g
Protein: ~2 g
Fat: ~3 g
Fiber: ~2 g
Added Sugar: ~4 g
Nutrition information is an estimate and will vary depending on the milk and amount of maple syrup used.
Want it creamier? Use your favorite unsweetened oat, soy or dairy milk.
Want it sweeter? Start with one teaspoon of maple syrup, taste it, and add more only if you need it.
Want more protein? Choose a higher-protein milk, such as dairy or unsweetened soy milk.
And if you normally drink several caffeinated beverages each day, this doesn’t have to be an all-or-nothing swap.
Try replacing your second cup or afternoon coffee with a caffeine-free option and see how you feel.
We spend a lot of time thinking about what else we should add to our routines.
Another supplement.
Another workout.
Another wellness habit.
But sometimes the question is:
What could I ask my body to do a little less of?
If you’re already feeling like you’re running on stress, swapping one caffeinated drink for something warm, nourishing and caffeine-free is a very small experiment you can make.
And this one happens to taste like fall.
Enjoy!
Amanda
